As a member of our core or summer cohorts, members serve at one of our regional nonprofits, schools, and government agencies. Members are also offered many opportunities to gain experience serving with one of our Team UP Action Teams. Current available positions are posted below.

Looking to fulfill an internship requirement? Our internship programs start at 300 hours, and can often align with your internship requirements while earning a living stipend and an education award for your service! Our internships also serve regional nonprofits, schools, and government agencies.

The Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC) is a new program at Team UP AmeriCorps. YMHC members provide programming aimed at supporting youth mental health, as well as completing a Behavioral Health Assistant I micro-credential through Pueblo Community College. Current available positions are posted below.

New in 2025, the Farmer-in-Training program at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado is partnering with Team UP AmeriCorps through the Working Lands Conservation Corps to create new positions connecting farming with food systems and food security, as well as encouraging and teaching sustainable practices across the region. Applications for this program will first be fed through Fort Lewis College and the Farmer-in-Training program.

Farmer in Training AmeriCorps Member

The Farmer Training Program at the Old Fort is a growing and multi-faceted answer to farmer training in the Four Corners region. Welcoming everyone from college interns for brief summer experiences to incubator farmers ready to start a business, the Old Fort offers good (and challenging) growing conditions, supportive staff, a lively farming community, and rich resources for high elevation market farming.
The FIT AC member completes the Farmer Training Program and takes on additional duties for a full-time, six month immersion in farming and food security initiatives.

Start Date: Early May 2025
End Date: November 15, 2025
Member will complete 900 service hours during the term of service (dates above). The expectation for this position is that the member will serve 40 hours/week.

Member will take off holidays according to the host site calendar, as well as allotted time off for sick days.
Since this program is intensive and subject to the farming season, applicants should note that any additional time off during the program is very limited.

AmeriCorps offers a $1,350 living stipend paid twice monthly throughout a member’s term of service.
At the end of a successfully-completed service term, member will receive a Segal Education Award of $3,697.50 to be used at any Title IV institution.
This host site also offers access to seasonal fresh vegetables, as well as the possibility of low-cost housing at The Old Fort, if available.
Working Lands Conservation Corps AmeriCorps Member
