About Us
Who We Are
OUR MISSION
United Way of Southwest Colorado improves lives by nurturing the collective caring power of our communities. We are a LOCAL nonprofit that works to improve people’s lives through Education, Health, and Financial Stability work. We envision a community where all individuals and families achieve their human potential.
In UWSWC’s 45+ year history of service to Southwest Colorado, we have found that when people join together for the common good things change for the better. United Way targets barriers local families and individuals face that prevent them from thriving. Through our annual Community Investment process and AmeriCorps program, we have partnered with 38 local nonprofit agencies that are addressing these barriers every single day.
